Stratis congratulates Paul O’Brien on his appointment to the Labour Court

All at Stratis Consulting wish to warmly congratulate our colleague, Paul O’Brien, Associate Partner on his selection for appointment as an employer member of the Labour Court. Paul will be taking up his warrant of appointment in the coming months.

According to Brendan McGinty, Managing Partner, “Paul has been a valuable member of the growing Stratis team since 2019 as an Associate Partner. I know this appointment fulfils a lifetime ambition for Paul and I have no doubt that he will be tremendously successful in the role to which he will bring his senior management experience along with his consulting experience with many Stratis clients and with whom Paul had developed strong and trusted relationships”.

Mr McGinty added “This is a great appointment to the Labour Court which will benefit hugely from Pauls employee relations, change management and organisational development experience gained over 30 years in senior management roles in a variety of sectors. The Labour Court continues to perform a critical role at the pinnacle of our workplace relations system in the investigation of trade disputes and certain other functions under the Industrial Relations Acts 1946-2012. It also has an appellate role in disputes between workers and employers concerning employment rights under various statutes. It is therefore crucial that appointments to the Court can attract persons of caliber from both sides of industry and with the relevant experience, such as Paul.”
